Organized under the campaign of the Thai Glaucoma Society (ThGS)

During World Glaucoma Week 2026, Phuket Province participated in the nationwide campaign coordinated by the Thai Glaucoma Society. Glaucoma awareness and screening activities were organized across healthcare facilities in the province for patients and the public, including glaucoma risk assessment, intraocular pressure measurement, optic nerve evaluation, and patient education on glaucoma prevention and treatment.

These activities were conducted by ophthalmology teams across Phuket Province as part of the national effort to promote early detection of glaucoma and to increase public awareness about this silent cause of vision loss. The initiative aligns with the Thai Glaucoma Society’s mission to reduce preventable blindness through community engagement, education, and accessible eye care services across Thailand.
