Thailand Glaucoma Week: KKU Eye Center

Organized under the campaign of the Thai Glaucoma Society (ThGS)
During World Glaucoma Week 2026, KKU Eye Center participated in the nationwide campaign coordinated by the Thai Glaucoma Society. The hospital organized glaucoma awareness and screening activities for patients and the public, including glaucoma risk assessment, intraocular pressure measurement, optic nerve evaluation, and patient education on glaucoma prevention and treatment. A total of 556 participants underwent glaucoma screening during this initiative.
These activities were conducted by the ophthalmology team at KKU Eye Center as part of the national effort to promote early detection of glaucoma and to increase public awareness about this silent cause of vision loss. The initiative aligns with the Thai Glaucoma Society’s mission to reduce preventable blindness through community engagement, education, and accessible eye care services across Thailand.
