The Romanian Society of Glaucoma Congress

The Romanian Society of Glaucoma Congress 2026 was held from 26 February to 1 March 2026, at Hotel Kronwell, Brașov, Romania.
As a longstanding tradition, this annual event is held each year during this period, close to World Glaucoma Week, to support glaucoma awareness and highlight the importance of early diagnosis and updated glaucoma management among ophthalmologists.
The 2026 edition brought together a carefully developed scientific programme and invited distinguished Romanian specialists alongside renowned international lecturers.
The congress aimed to support continuous medical education, encourage the exchange of clinical experience and current knowledge, present recent advances in glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, and strengthen collaboration between Romanian ophthalmologists and the international glaucoma community. At the same time, the event sought to emphasize the importance of multidisciplinary dialogue and of aligning local practice with current international standards in glaucoma care.
