As part of Glaucoma Awareness Day on March 12, 2026, we at Dr. Rani Menon Maxivision Eye Hospital proudly organised a series of impactful initiatives under the banner “Velicham” to spread awareness about glaucoma and promote eye health within the community.
Through this initiative, we offered free glaucoma and comprehensive eye check-ups across our branches, along with a 15% discount on all surgeries and eyeglasses, making quality eye care more accessible to the public.
At our Thrissur branch, the programs were conducted from March 10 to March 13, 2026. Our Guruvayoor branch hosted activities from March 11 to March 12, 2026, while the Wadakkanchery branch carried out programs from March 11 to March 13, 2026. The Kunnamkulam branch extended the initiative from March 9 to March 14, 2026, ensuring wider reach and participation.
To further amplify awareness, we organized a marathon and a flash mob in Thrissur, engaging the public and encouraging conversations around glaucoma prevention and early detection. We also conducted an awareness class and cultural programs at an indoor auditorium, creating an informative and engaging platform for the community.
Through “Velicham,” we reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding vision and empowering people with the knowledge to take proactive steps towards eye health.
