Cochin Ophthalmic Club(COC) conducted a Glaucoma Walkathon as part of World Glaucoma Week 2026 at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Kochi on 8th March 2026.

The event was flagged off by Kochi IMA President Dr Athul Manuel John in the presence of KSOS General Secretary Dr Mallika O.U. and COC President Dr Thomas Cherian.

Around 100 ophthalmologists from Cochin Ophthalmic Club actively participated in the event.

It was followed by a Street Play by ophthalmologists titled “Silent Kallan” (which means Silent Thief in Malayalam) for public awareness on Glaucoma.
