In commemoration of World Glaucoma Week 2026, the Ophthalmology Residency Program of Hasanuddin University in collaboration with Community Ophthalmology RS Unhas organized a Glaucoma Educational Talk Show with the theme “Protect Your Eyes, Use Medications Wisely.”
This activity aims to increase public awareness and understanding of glaucoma, one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness worldwide. Through this talk show, participants receive educational information about the importance of early detection of glaucoma, the proper and responsible use of eye medications, and the importance of treatment adherence to prevent disease progression.
The session features dr. Ririn Nislawati, Sp.M., M.Kes as the speaker and is hosted by dr. Siti Adani Ayundi. The event is conducted both onsite at the Outpatient Waiting Area, EF Building, RS Unhas, and live on Instagram (@ppdsmatafkunhas, @communityophthalmologyunhas, and @rsunhas.official) to reach a wider audience and promote community education on eye health.
