SUMMARY:World Glaucoma week screening &amp\; educational events
DESCRIPTION:\n 	A week long free glaucoma screening camp was conducted for 
 family members of glaucoma patients in the glaucoma OPD of Narayana Nethra
 laya (Tertiary eye care centre)\n 	Glaucoma awareness videos in different 
 languages were circulated on social media like Facebook and Youtube. Simil
 ar videos were played on the public address system and televisions in the 
 patient waiting areas to sensitize patients to glaucoma.\n 	Glaucoma scree
 ning for employees of Yes bank\, Prestige group and Allergan was done by t
 he Narayana Nethralaya-2 team and was organized by Allergan on 13th March 
 at their office complex at Kasturba road\, Bangalore. Total number of peop
 le screened were 125\, 28 were advised glasses\, and 22 turned out to be g
 laucoma suspects and were referred to the hospital for detailed evaluation
 .\n 	Glaucoma case study work shop was conducted for comprehensive ophthal
 mologists by Dr. Sushma Tejwani to facilitate the management of glaucoma. 
 The objective of the workshop was to teach appropriate methods of diagnosi
 s of glaucoma &amp\; the preferred approach to management of glaucoma. It 
 also outlined methods to identify disease progression to facilitate early 
 treatment and prevent blindness.\n
