DESCRIPTION:The Malaysian Glaucoma Society (MGS)\, in collaboration with th
 e Ophthalmology Department of Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) is pro
 ud to organise the World Glaucoma Week 2026 – Glaucoma Carnival.\nThis c
 ommunity‑based event is held in conjunction with World Glaucoma Week\, a
  global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about glaucoma — one o
 f the leading causes of irreversible blindness worldwide. Alarmingly\, man
 y individuals with glaucoma remain undiagnosed until significant vision lo
 ss has occurred.\nThe Glaucoma Carnival aims to bridge this gap by providi
 ng free glaucoma screening\, increasing public awareness\, and facilitatin
 g early detection and referral\, particularly among underserved and high
 ‑risk populations. In addition to glaucoma screening\, this event also i
 ncorporates general health screening and dental check-up services\, offeri
 ng a more holistic approach to community health and preventive care.\n
