  a precious asset that must be safeguarded and eye diseases\, which still 
 have a very important social impact\, must be prevented and treated to all
 ow each person an active and satisfying life in their family and social en
 vironment.\n18 March 2023 marks the end of World Glaucoma Week (Glaucoma W
 eek) for the prevention of Glaucoma\, a silent but potentially dangerous d
 isease as the leading cause of preventable blindness. \nThe occasion of th
 is event is also to support the virtuous work of the BANCA degli OCCHI del
  Veneto. Europe's first eye bank\, supported by Lions\, which with its wor
 k 7 days a week collects\, through the Regional Transplantation System\, d
 onated corneal tissues\, analyses them\, prepares them and sends them to r
 equesting hospitals\, thus offering sick patients\, or people who have suf
 fered road or work-related injuries\, the security of follow-up and succes
 sful transplantation. The EVENT on 18 March\, in addition to aiming to rea
 ch an appropriate number of citizens with information on PREVENTION and th
 e work of the Eye Bank\, by means of an artistic event\, aims to raise awa
 reness of the possibility of post-mortem corneal donation. The event inclu
 des not only visual\, but also olfactory and tactile sensory experiences.\

 ni che ci raggiungono dall’ambiente esterno vengono acquisite attraverso
  la Vista e trasmesse al cervello. La vista è un bene prezioso che va sal
 vaguardato e le malattie oculari\, che ancora oggi hanno un impatto social
 e molto importante\, vanno prevenute e curate per permettere a  ciascuna p
 ersona una vita attiva e soddisfacente nel proprio contesto familiare e so
 ciale.\nIl giorno 18 marzo 2023 si conclude la Settimana Mondiale (Glaucom
 a Week) per la prevenzione del Glaucoma\, Malattia silente ma potenzialmen
 te pericolosa poiché prima causa di Cecità prevenibile. \nL’occasione 
 di questo evento è anche di sostenere la virtuosa opera della BANCA degli
  OCCHI del Veneto. Prima banca degli occhi Europea\, sostenuta dal Lions\,
  che con il suo lavoro 7 giorni su 7 raccoglie\, attraverso il Sistema Reg
 ionale Trapianti\, i tessuti corneali donati\, li analizza\, li prepara e 
 li invia agli ospedali richiedenti\, offrendo così ai pazienti malati\, o
  a persone che hanno subito traumi di strada o sul lavoro \, la sicurezza 
 del follow-up e della riuscita del trapianto. L’EVENTO del 18 Marzo\, ol
 tre a voler  raggiungere con l’informazione sulla PREVENZIONE e l’atti
 vità della Banca degli occhi\, mediante una  manifestazione artistica\, u
 n congruo numero di cittadini\, si propone di sensibilizzare i partecipant
 i della possibilità alla donazione post mortem delle cornee. L’evento p
 revede esperienze sensoriali non solo  visive\, ma anche olfattive e tatti
 li.\n
