DESCRIPTION:Glaucoma is a chronic eye disease characterized by increased in
 traocular pressure\, which can lead to damage to the optic nerve and loss 
 of vision.\nOn March 6\, 2024\, in the Republic of Kazakhstan\, in the cit
 y of Aktobe\, in the City Polyclinic No. 3\, the Center for Outpatient Oph
 thalmology and Eye Microsurgery\, in the glaucoma center\, an action dedic
 ated to the World Glaucoma Week was held. The event was organized by: M.B.
  Petukhova- an ophthalmologist of the highest category\, and M.K. Taushano
 va- doctoral student at the West Kazakhstan Marat Opanov  Medical Universi
 ty.\nThe action was divided into three blocks:\n1) Measurement of intraocu
 lar pressure.\n2) Complete examination of patients with increased ophthalm
 otonus.\n3) Conducting a glaucoma school among patients.\nDuring the campa
 ign\, intraocular pressure was measured in 54 people\, 3 of them were diag
 nosed with ophthalmohypertension\, and they underwent a full examination. 
 One patient was diagnosed with primary open-angle glaucoma.\nThis event is
  held annually and is aimed at early detection and prevention of glaucoma\
 , helping to preserve patients' eyesight.
