DESCRIPTION:As part of World Glaucoma Week\, the Korean Glaucoma Society or
 ganized a green lighting event to raise public awareness about glaucoma\, 
 a leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. On Wednesday\, March 
 11\, from 8:00 to 8:30 PM\, Gwangan Bridge—one of the most iconic landma
 rks in Busan\, the second-largest city in the Republic of Korea—was illu
 minated in green\, the symbolic color of glaucoma awareness.\n\nThe green 
 illumination served as a visual reminder to the public about the importanc
 e of early detection and regular eye examinations to prevent vision loss f
 rom glaucoma. By lighting a prominent landmark in the city\, the campaign 
 aimed to draw public attention to glaucoma and encourage people to learn m
 ore about the disease.\n\nIn addition to the landmark illumination\, the K
 orean Glaucoma Society also promoted educational activities and public eng
 agement through online channels. Participants were encouraged to take phot
 os of the green-lit landmark and share them on social media as part of the
  awareness campaign\, helping spread the message about glaucoma prevention
  and early diagnosis.
