DESCRIPTION:The Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria\, Edo State Branch in c
 ollaboration with the University of Benin organized a glaucoma enlightenme
 nt programme on local Television and Radio stations to enlighten the publi
 c about glaucoma to mark year 2015 WGW with the theme "Beat Invisible Glau
 coma" (BIG).\n\nTwo ophthalmologists spoke about glaucoma in both English 
 and local language (pidgin english) for about 10 minutes each. The activit
 y was carried out on Radio on Saturday 7th March and Sunday\, 8th March on
  their local morning programmes. A television enlightenment program was do
 ne on Tuesday 10th March 2015. Following the enlightenment talk\, members 
 of the public were invited for a free glaucoma screening to take place on 
 Wednesday 11th and Friday 13th March 2015 at the Professor Ayanru Ophthalm
 ic Complex\, UBTH. The management of the hospital supported this programme
  as part of their coporate-social responsibility.
