DESCRIPTION:As part of World Glaucoma Week (February 17–21\, 2025)\, Dr. 
 Prasanna Venkatesh Ramesh and Dr. Shivani Dixit spearheaded a transformati
 ve initiative at Mahathma Eye Hospital Pvt Ltd\, Tamil Nadu\, India\, succ
 essfully performing 24 free Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) pro
 cedures for economically disadvantaged patients. This campaign aimed to br
 idge the gap in glaucoma care by expanding access to cutting-edge surgical
  interventions\, ensuring that advanced treatment options reach those who 
 need them most.\n\nThe procedures included Suture GATT\, Kahook Dual Blade
  (KDB) goniotomy\, Bent Ab Interno Needle Goniectomy (BANG)\, and Endoscop
 ic Cyclophotocoagulation (ECP)—offering superior safety\, faster recover
 y\, and enhanced postoperative outcomes compared to conventional technique
 s. The camp was efficiently organized through the dedicated efforts of the
  Mahathma Eye Hospital Private Limited team\, under the logistical support
  of Mr. Ashik Azad and Team MCMI (Mahathma Centre Of Moving Images)\, ensu
 ring smooth execution and optimal patient care.\n\n By delivering these li
 fe-changing procedures\, we reinforced the critical importance of early gl
 aucoma detection and intervention\, while advocating for equitable access 
 to modern ophthalmic advancements. This initiative aligns with the global 
 vision of “Uniting for a Glaucoma-Free World\,” underscoring the urgen
 cy of continued awareness\, education\, and treatment efforts to combat pr
 eventable blindness.
