SUMMARY:ICO Issues Guidelines for Glaucoma Eye Care
DESCRIPTION:The International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) published ICO 
 Guidelines for Glaucoma Eye Care in January 2016.\n\nThe Guidelines are a
  valuable resource for the broad suite of health professionals who work wi
 th glaucoma and serve to reduce the amount of blindness and vision loss fr
 om glaucoma by facilitating diagnosis and treatment. In addition\, the ICO
  Guidelines allow eye care practitioners to define benchmarks that measure
  the effectiveness of local and regional glaucoma programs.\n\nThe ICO Gui
 delines summarize core requirements for the appropriate care of open and c
 losed angle glaucoma and consider low and intermediate to high-resource se
 ttings. They are currently available in English and Spanish as a PDF or as
  a Word document.\n\nTranslation and adaption for non-commercial use is en
 couraged\, but please credit the ICO. The ICO asks that a copy of any tran
 slated or adapted documents be sent info@icoph.org for ICO records.\n\nThe
  ICO Guidelines are designed to be a working document and will be updated 
 on an ongoing basis. Comments are welcome at: info@icoph.org.
