DESCRIPTION:The Glaucoma Awareness Cyclothon 2026\, organized by Precise Sp
 eciality Eye Care\, was successfully conducted on 15th March 2026 bringing
  together cyclists\, healthcare professionals\, dignitaries\, and health e
 nthusiasts for a meaningful cause.\nThe event started with an energetic Zu
 mba warm-up session\, setting the perfect tone for the day and energizing 
 everyone for the ride ahead.\n\nThe program officially commenced with the 
 Welcome Address by Dr. Jayaram V R\, Chairman of Precise Speciality Eye Ca
 re\, who emphasized the importance of early detection and awareness about 
 glaucoma\, often referred to as the “Silent Thief of Sight.”\n\nThe In
 augural Address was delivered by Smt. Anu Kumari IAS\, District Collector 
 of Thiruvananthapuram\, who highlighted the significance of public awarene
 ss initiatives and appreciated the efforts taken to educate the community 
 about eye health.\n\nThe event was further honoured by the presence of dis
 tinguished dignitaries including:\n* Sri P. N. Ranjith Kumar\, Chief Postm
 aster General\, Kerala Circle\n* Dr. Sreejith\, President\, IMA\n* Dr. Min
 i Mathew\, Scientific Committee Member\, KSOS\n* Dr. Anitha Prabhakaran\, 
 Scientific Committee Chairman\, TOC\n\nA special Glaucoma Awareness Talk w
 as delivered by Dr. Kiran Gopalakrishnan\, Head of Department &amp\; Senio
 r Consultant in Glaucoma and Cornea\, who provided valuable insights on gl
 aucoma prevention\, early detection\, and the importance of regular eye ch
 eck-ups.\n\nParticipants also took the Glaucoma Awareness Oath\, led by Sr
 i P. N. Ranjith Kumar\, reinforcing the commitment to spreading awareness 
 and protecting vision within the community.\n\nThe Cyclothon Flag Off was 
 proudly initiated by Smt. Anu Kumari IAS\, as cyclists rode from Kanakakun
 nu to Shangumugham\, symbolizing unity and collective effort in the fight 
 against glaucoma.\n\nThe event concluded on a high note with the distribut
 ion of medals to all participating cyclists. This was followed by the anno
 uncement of the Lucky Dip winners\, where two fortunate participants were 
 awarded branded bicycles\, adding excitement and joy to the closing moment
 s of the Cyclothon. \n\nThe cyclothon successfully delivered a powerful me
