SUMMARY:Free Eye Screening in conjunction with World Glaucoma Week 2025
DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with World Glaucoma Week in March 2025\, the Dep
 artment of Ophthalmology at PPUM organized a series of events aimed at rai
 sing awareness about glaucoma\, a leading cause of irreversible blindness 
 worldwide. As part of our commitment to public health\, we hosted a public
  screening event which attracted 102 participants and an in-house screenin
 g for a whole week where we successfully screened a total of 368 individua
 ls. To further promote the importance of eye health\, we also organized a 
 charity run\, which brought together participants from all walks of life. 
 The week proved to be a fruitful and eye-opening experience\, highlighting
  the importance of early detection and the power of community engagement i
 n combating glaucoma.
