DESCRIPTION:In recognition of World Glaucoma Week 2026\, Empowerment for Su
 stainable Livelihood will conduct a multi-day community engagement initiat
 ive designed to improve awareness\, early detection\, and preventive pract
 ices related to glaucoma within underserved populations.\nGlaucoma remains
  one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness globally\, often prog
 ressing without noticeable symptoms until significant vision loss has occu
 rred. In many low-resource settings\, late presentation and limited access
  to screening contribute to avoidable disability and economic hardship. Th
 is activity is structured to address these gaps through targeted education
  and service delivery.\nObjectives\nIncrease community understanding of gl
 aucoma risk factors\, symptoms\, and prevention\nEncourage routine eye exa
 minations and early detection practices\nProvide accessible screening oppo
 rtunities for individuals with limited healthcare access\nFacilitate refer
 rals for participants requiring clinical follow-up\nCore Activities\nCommu
 nity outreach sessions explaining glaucoma and vision preservation\nEducat
 ional talks delivered by trained facilitators and health professionals\nDi
 stribution of informational materials promoting preventive eye care\nBasic
  screening support and referral linkage to eye care providers\nMedia and l
 ocal stakeholder engagement to broaden awareness reach\nTarget Population\
 nAdults aged 40+\nIndividuals with family history of eye disease\nPersons 
 living with diabetes or hypertension\nCommunity members with limited acces
